Basalt Stone Vinyl Photography Backdrops

Basalt Stone is a near-black volcanic stone backdrop with a fine, even grain and no veining. The surface has subtle depth and a slight tonal shift, but reads as a solid dark ground rather than a pattern.

It is the cleanest dark surface we make. Where Black Marble gives you veins to work with, basalt gives you nothing to distract, so the product carries the entire frame. Strong for cheese boards, charcuterie, coffee, spirits, ceramics and any hero shot that needs to sit in shadow. It is also the dark surface in our Starter Kit.
